me: (over several seconds of trailer) DC comics? Is there a new superhero movie coming out? I wonder if it's the new X-Men movie?[1] Oh. It's the new Superman movie.
her: (witheringly) did you not notice the mailbox labelled "Kent Family" and the music? I was wondering why you were still talking.
[1] I'm comics fanboy enough to know that DC is a superhero comics outfit, and that Marvel is also a superhero comics outfit, but I'm not fanboy enough to know who owns which franchise. Or, you know, even if they're two sides of the same coin or something. I mean, it's not like Microsoft vs. Apple, now, is it?
