from the Irish Times breaking news section: World comes to terms with Bush election victory. Our Taoiseach has been a little more enthusiastic:
The Taoiseach, Mr Ahern, has congratulated President Bush on his re-election and said he feared the State would have suffered economically had Senator John Kerry been elected.

Mr Ahern said: "Looking at the policies in the manifestos of both candidates, had Senator Kerry been elected, US multinationals abroad would be subject to a new taxation, which would have had a significant impact on the Irish economy."
Mostly I don't disagree (note careful wording) much with our incumbents, but really now.

A spokesman for the RPA told ireland.com that although the current roadmarkings "meet the highest international standard, they will see if they can make them more suited to the Irish culture".
RPA is the Rail Procurement Agency, who have some responsibility for the Luas.
