Last Night: Pub Quiz at McDonagh's, a place I describe to people as being permanently stuck in 1974. A tenner each to play, plus two quid for some raffle tickets, plus I threw an extra fiver into the kitty, out of goodwill and possibly a little more Guinness than I'd intended, and then there were the few pints to accompany the quiz, and the net result for our team came to one umbrella, one carrier bag of some sort, and 4 tickets to Punchestown Racecourse worth €70 apiece. Score!
Tonight: Chelsea v. Arsenal, which I'm not hugely interested in, but I'm meeting a friend at a pub and we'll watch this over pints and chat. Might have to take the weekend pubbing off the calendar to compensate!

Actually, the real problem is that I'm a lazy bollox.

What's really bothering me about the current postal service ruckus is that it's been going on since the weekend and I still have no idea what started it, beyond the fact that the management claims it's something that was already paid for, and something the staff were already doing anyway, and the union claims that the management was being reckless.

From The Beeb's RSS feed:
The World Health Organisation is upbeat on TB Day, but a top medical charity claims drugs are archaic.
I can so imagine that. "Drugs, are, like, so 1960s, man! You should be using CRYSTALS and shit!"
