The Canadian Grand Prix has been dropped from the F1 calendar because they won't allow cigarette adverts. This is really, really, REALLY dumb. In fact, almost litigiously dumb, since this means that Formula One Management is promoting cigarettes in about as strong a way as they can manage.

oh the embarassment

There are an embarrassing number of people alleging to be in Dublin, Ireland (although one I checked makes much mention of DC and California) who have either U2-related usernames or some sort of U2ish icon. There's even a frickin' U2 icon COMMUNITY.
