this should be entertaining

A lawyer "representing the US Government" in a case in the UK claims that America has the right to kidnap those wanted by US law. I'm sure this will turn out to be an over-reaching interpretation by a lawyer with no official sanction to do so, but it's certainly an... interesting point of view.

  (20:27.19 on the stopwatch, 20:31.?? on the race clock, who knows what the official time will be as it took them a further minute or more to get my number written down)
• 10 minute walk to race HQ
• 25 minute walk to LUAS stop
• 20 minute LUAS ride
• 25 minute DART ride
• 15 minute walk from DART

There are advantages to living closer to The City, I guess.

running, extra notes

• item: I wore a Santa hat for the race. Surprisingly comfortable, as it happens.
• item: €165 raised for charity, about €50 of it by passing around the sponsorship card when we were having office drinks on Friday. Sneaky!

official race results

The official results are up, and as predicted there was an amount of fudging due to the time taken to actually note down the finishers, but at least it wasn't much. My official time is 20 minutes 34 seconds, finisher #159 of 904. Go me, etc.!
