Motorists to get say on metric changeover

The metric changeover, on January 20th next year, will see speed limits and distances displayed in kilometres, bringing consistency to signs on the country's roads.

There's also some mention of dual speed limits on dual carriageways (which, I think, all of our motorways are) which strikes me as a bit bizarre.

timing is everything

Evidently it is an unwritten law of the universe that whenever there's a "Top 20 Things Waider Is Interested In"-type show on TV, a family member will phone me just as the number 1 item is being discussed, and the call will last until the end of the show.
