Subject: EXTD / EXTT question Date: Wed, 30 Apr 2003 23:18:37 -0700

did a google search and found your site. looks like you unraveled the mystery of the EXTD / EXTT fields in CDDB records.

QUESTION: is the EXTD and EXTT fields ON THE CD or are they being entered by hand by individuals? all the code i've seen reference reading the information from a CDDB request.

if you know the answer and could send me an email i'd be VERY appreciative!

THANKS!
I'm not sure which is better, the "mystery" of CDDB records, or the vaguely McElwaine-ian flavour of the request.

I pointed him at FreeDB, in case you're wondering.

BAH!

I was wondering why my recently-mentioned scripty for parsing movie listings off Aertel had stopped working; turns out it's because instead of doing a teletext-to-plaintext conversion, they're now doing a teletext-to-IMAGE conversion, so I'm going to have to download an image and convert it to text if I want to continue parsing. It's not as difficult as it sounds because the charset is fixed-pitch and single-font, but it's still a pain in the nads.
