More Idiocy

Today, I'd like to mention mailing lists, instead of my usual Grammar Nazi Class. Here are the nominations for "mailing list events that make me want to beat someone to death with their own tongue":

* People who whine about spam on the list and demand the list be closed to subscribers only
* Ditto, except in complaining they quote the entire spam.
* Ditto, except they top-reply, too.

* People who run anti-virus software that posts its warnings to the list.

* People who ask for top-replies to be the norm.

* Ditto, in HTML.

* Ditto, top-replying to a completely unrelated posting.

I'd better stop here. I'm starting to froth.

Easy Rider
One of the most over-rated films of all time, this is pretentious crap starring the deeply annoying Peter Fonda & the very stoned Dennis Hopper as hippies riding their motorbikes around the States searching for a plot. Great soundtrack.
