I'm sure I didn't imagine it
Jul. 12th, 2002 11:52 pmSo at some point in the last week, I bounced off a link on jwz's journal to a document describing an XMLRPC interface to LiveJournal. Now, having spent an hour or two playing with the HTTP protocol, I'm sure this is nothing more than a wrapper on top of what's there, which Simply Isn't Enough. But anyway, I decided I'd have a look at it.
Well. I've been through jwz's entire fricking journal TWICE looking for the damn link; I've tried searching my Squid files - logs AND cached stuff, I've tried poking in Mozilla, I've tried last night's backups, I've tried the office laptop, and damned if there's not the slightest trace of this document. Now, I know I've been pushing more caffeine than usual lately, and keeping some slightly antisocial sleeping hours, but really. I can't have imagined an entire XMLRPC interface, particularly since I know almost precisely nothing about XMLRPC.
I've stopped short of hauling down a copy of the LiveJournal code, because let's face it, I was trying to figure out a hack of small value anyway, and I've already expended enough effort on this.
Still though. Annoying.
