I went along to be a marshall.
While being fitted with the rig, I asked the troupe leader, "What am I supposed to be?"; He replied, "A ceremonial cow. That means you moooove a lot."

and that, plus directions on my position in the troupe, was the sum total of my preparation for this.

Sure, but I doubt if they'd let me into The George with it. I mean, aside from the physical clearance issues.
