We had the proverbial all-hands meeting today. Our solitary customer has decided to cancel our contract and thus put us out of business, effective end of June. Crap.
speaking as someone recently in the 'oh shit!' boat, i hope i can reassure you by saying i'm confident it will all work out fine.
if 'end of contract' means 'end of operations, turn out the lights, seeya later', then take two months and come tour the states. you always have crash space with us in the bay area!
End of contract does, in all likelihood, mean 'last person out of the office turn off the lights', since we don't have any other customers and the customer we did have has expressed a desire to not work with us. Hence the contract-breaking.

I heartily endorse the plan of taking two months to tour the states. Yer welcome at our place too.

If you do decide to do the travelling bit, or if you wind up applying for jobs in this part of the world, the futon is always available...
