In these parts the Six Nations means the Haudenosaunee, the People of the Longhouse, otherwise known as the Iroquois nation. The Six are the Mohawks, Oneidas, Onondagas, Cayugas, Senecas and Tuscaroras.

And you would be correct.

The six nations in question are Wales, Scotland, Ireland, England, France and Italy. Italy is the most recent addition to the competition, prior to which it was the Five Nations. It's a rugby league with some extra prizes; if a team beats all the other teams, they win the Grand Slam, which England carried off today after being denied at the last match for the past few years. There's also the triple crown, which as far as I know requires one of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales to beat all the others, which England also carried off today. And, obviously, England carried off the cup for the entire league.
