White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said the bombing did not appear to be an act of terrorism but the investigation was in its early stages. (link)
The bombing. Is not terrorism. Er. How would it have not qualified? Was it too small? Was the target insufficiently worthy? Seems to me that if I'd been in the vicinity I'd be pretty frickin' terrified, and I'd certainly think twice about hanging out next to recruiting centres in the small hours for a few days at least.

I don't get it. There are a shit load of webcams in the vicinity of T-square yet none caught this act of vandalism in action, or the perps running away. I guess I watch too much Law and Order....

Because it was done by a white guy on a bicycle. Terrorists are brown and fly airplanes.

You're not sufficiently versed in the politics of meaning. Refer to Hilly Clinton's 1994 Wellesley commencement address. The gist of it is, we control teh meanings, we control teh politics.

If they say it's not terrorism, it's not terrorism. Besides, didn't you hear: "All events in future of galaxy hereby arbitrarily ruled 'not terrorism."
