continuing the "songs in my head" habit

This one's just a snippet, rather than an entire song: it's from one of the sort of breakdown sections in a My Chemical Romance song (It's Not A Fashion Statement, It's A Deathwish - even the song titles make me smile):
This hole you put me in / wasn't deep enough / and I'm coming out right now / you're running out of places / to hide from me
I'm not sure what this is doing stuck in my head, but it's been on a loop since about 11am this morning.

If I knew, I wouldn't have said "I'm not sure what this is doing stuck in my head". I can hazard a guess: I've been listening to this band a lot lately, and that particular part of the song is done with harmonies, and I'm a sucker for harmonies, plus the nature of the singing does not in any way align with the scariness of the lyrics, so there's a nice contrast there.

I'm not, like, stalking anyone, you know? :)

Hmm...the commas in the sentence seem important to interpreting how I think you'd intended. But the punctuation conflicts with that so I remain left to wonder...as it seems you are too. Why *is* this in your head. What would Freud say?
