I'm the mad Cornish girl that you went to Wales with after knowing me for less than 48 hours :) And there was other stuff too, and then I lived upstairs from you!
Why am I reading this? Because once in a while you're good for a beer :>
I'm living in North Lancashire (can see the mountains in the Lake district from my home), and working for a nasty little chemical company (now owned by a nasty little multinational). Apart from that, um, well, I spend too much time staying sober in pubs, playing pool (I have to drive to most of the matches), I go out to look at wildlife, and I find plenty of other excuses to let my home look like a pigsty. ;)
IIRC, the last time we spoke was shortly after you went to Vegas to tie a knot . . . Must've been, um, 4 years ago?
Sounds very pleasant other than the nasty parts ;) Seeing the mountains probably compensates for a lot though. Don't suppose you're in Runcorn at ICI are you> I have a friend up there :>
That would have been almost exactly four years ago!!
I...well, I'm still where I was then, but in the interim I ran away to LA for 18 months to try to get my head straight. It didn't work ;)
I'm a good hour or so north of ICI Runcorn: living in a wee place between Lancaster and Carnforth (about 15 miles south of Kendal, FWIW). I won't name my employer, because I have an occasional habit of bitching about them.
I've gradually come to the conclusion that running off to places to "get your head straight" almost never works (the exception being when it's the current social interactions that are screwing you up). Wherever you go, you are essentially the same person . . . well, that was the problem with me, at any rate. ;)
eh, I (now) sit near you at work. can't remember how I found your journal(s) before that; it must've been related to something you said some day. now it's just habit, and you don't post long rambles about things I couldn't care less about.
Oh, and I'm neither Cornish, nor female, and I *think* I don't live upstairs from you :)
I found your sources on MPLE by google. but i have trouble compiling it under win32. Maybe I don't have experience? I realy need this application because i hate the way Sony NW protects media and makes it unportable. Perhaps you can provide a simple .exe on your site? thanks

I read your journal so I can say to people, "So I was talking to my friend in Ireland the other day," and to invite you to Philly as often as I can.
