Do you folks hear anything about how Christmas is under siege here in the U.S.? I don't know what's going on, because I don't watch the requisite rabid TV shows, but apparently Al Qaeda and some other terrorists have declared open season on Christmas and they've somehow gotten a bunch of soft-headed Americans to join the attack.

It's tantamount to anti-Christmas terrorism, sir, is what it is.

I can't imagine it making much sense in any event, but it would seem to make even less sense, out of (the thin film of strident commentary that seems to be holding the place formerly reserved for U.S. cultural) context.

It's kinda hard to miss it if you read pretty much any americana, but I'd sort of assumed it was, you know, Bill O'Reilly and Fox News and so forth on another rant. I didn't quite expect it to show up in house bill, much less that said house bill would be, you know, "passed/agreed to" by a 400-20 majority. I may be overlooking some of the finer points of house voting here, but yeesh.
