where I've been for the last few days, redux

Here's a map of Ireland with the relevant points labelled. For reference, Ordnance Survey Ireland tells me that Ireland is about 300 miles long by 170 miles wide (or "thick", as Niall Tobin once put it).

Exactly as it's spelled, mwah mwah mwah. Approximately "leash", although the vowel sound after the "l" is a bit different.

"Leash" is a good approximation, but I know of no way to convey the lead in to the vowel. It requires a rounded mouth or tongue just not found in English, and gives rise to what is called the blas (or maybe it's blos).

No, buffalos.

That's "Big Ugly Fuckers From Around Laois/Offaly". As distinct from biffos, "Big Ignorant Fuckers From Offaly". Both, er, species are commonly found among Ireland's police force, hence the pejoratives.
