Did an almost 10k bike run today. First of the year. In order that I felt sufficiently abused, I cycled up Dalkey Hill, although not the whole way. I need to consult mister GPS to get an exact reading on what sort of climb that was, but I think it's in the order of 100m.

I think Dalkey Hill is a little higher than that, maybe 150m. I'm comparing it in memory to Mount Royal with its magisterial 232m in altitude.

Well, I didn't go right to the top - I didn't take the dead-end road that leads to the car park up there. At that point my lungs were making urgent enquires to my brane about what the hell was going on and what they'd done to deserve it.
