Case drags on for several years
Outcome irrelevant since things have moved on

I think that the fact that the USPTO would actually re-examine a patent is a good thing, and (DANGER! OPTIMISM AHEAD!) it might actually spur them to re-examine other idiotic patents. There sure are a lot of `em out there.
