I was talking to Bob about my penchant/ability/annoyance of listening to multiple audio sources at once, and "tuning in" one or another at any given time. Specifically, I was suggesting that this is a flipside of my ability to follow a particular part of a musical piece, such as the bassline or the drumming or whatever, to the exclusion of the rest of the piece. Now, I'm not claiming some sort of rare or mystical ability here, but it doesn't seem to be a thing at least some of my friends can do, hence my remarking on it. Anyway, I'm brought to consider it again just now as I'm listening to the current jukebox track and thinking, "man, that is a lovely bassline". Think I'll be hitting "repeat" on this one.
