Woah! COOL!

LUFS is one of the neatest geekthings I've seen in quite a while. Not just what it does right now, but the sheer potential. Remember when Mosaic made all the world just a click away? This is a filesystem-layer Mosaic, given enough abuse. As is, it supports ftp, ssh and so help me, gnutella. Which is just WRONG, but in an amazingly good way. Gibber.

I've been thinking about this some more, so help me. You know how it's such a pain in the ass to figure out what someone's done with frames or whatever when you're trying to script up a site-scraper?

cd ~/websites

cd www.doofus.com

more index.html

Ow. I think I just sprained my head.

I think that webdavfs will already do this for you.

Sure, and there's apparently some random sourceforge project that does sshfs. But this does them ALL via a single kernel module and some userspace goo, so it's easy to extend.

Anyway, I just thought of IMAPfs and hurt my head again.

Another idea:

mysqlfs.

Or any other database, for that matter.

*bang* (sound of head exploding)
