LotR board game, and not any sort of official one, either. This is insanely cool, and I think I'll see if I can make myself up a board & cards and spring it on my friends.

On rereading it, I think you're right. What I'd do is buy a pack of those pre-scored business cards. Then I'd make a layout of the cards in position and print them onto the pre-cut cards so they would all be a uniform size. I could even do this for you and make a pdf file.
