I was in France, the last week of January, and I was very concerned about how I would be received. I had no problems, luckily. I don't support Mr. Bush now, nor did I vote for him. It's a shame when people of any country are somehow blamed for idiotic actions of the people who run their country.
The funny thing is, back in '84 I was trying to plan a trip to see a friend in Holland and she told me not to admit to anyone that I was American. Her answer to the problem, even then, "Tell them you live in the Canada."
