I'm being a little unfair in tagging this as "customer abuse" but hey, that's the sort of curmudgeonly guy I am. Anyway. Apple sent me a text message to tell me my shipment is on the way (tut tut, that's potentially a violation of the Irish data protection regulations, but I'll let it slide) and to check store.apple.com/irl/orderstatus for the status of my order.
So I did.
And it said:
