Well, gah.
I think that Clarkson book ["The World According to Clarkson"] was the one that actually put me off Clarkson. I don't generally see his newspaper columns, so the only exposure I had to the man was through watching Top Gear, where he's doing something interesting and entertaining and the fact that he's an insufferable jingoistic knobhead doesn't really get in the way - in some cases it even helps. However, the book was, well, too much concentrated Clarkson in one place. I don't much care if he's really like that or if he's just trying to get people annoyed, the end result is the same for me. I've even gotten tired of Top Gear lately, having not seen a recent episode in a long, long time (caught a few reruns over Christmas, but you'll get that)
