lesson learned, but forgotten: strategically-applied bandaids mitigate chafing. remembering this after 1k isn't the best of timing.
lesson learned, and remembered: shower gel containing mint particles is not the best thing to put on said chafing.

I've heard that Body Glide is good for that sort of thing. I usually avoid it by wearing either cotton or something relatively loose-fitting.

I'd almost rather hurt.

Well, like I said, bandaids do the job nicely, too. And I was wearing something both loose-fitting and cotton, but I still wound up chafed all to hell.
