Part of the HTML "receipt" my online banking service gives for money transfers:

Payments are processed Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.

Apparently our banking computers aren't working just now. There's a problem with the UK BACS system, which has apparently resulted in 400,000 people not receiving their salary today. For once, I'm very glad that we get paid on or around the 25th of the month.
