So I'm not sure which bush I was sleeping under when they launched this, but now that I've found it: you tell the site you're interested in gigs happening within an X mile radius of e.g. Dublin, Ireland, and you get a calendar that's populated with gigs based on your playlist (optionally also on your friends' playlists and music that last.fm thinks you might like). Now all they need to do is add this to the RSS feeds, or better still spout off an iCal feed for that hip factor, and I'll never again need to check the Event Guide for musical "happenings" in my area.
