use of journal

At some point my lj was limited to approximately the people I knew on talk.bizarre. Back in the day, I'd use teedotbee as many things: a sounding board, a place to post random writings, a safety valve, and so on. It's funny that I now consider a friends-only journal less "safe" than a completely open (and not retroactively censored) forum, although perhaps it's merely a change in attitude on my part.

Similar thoughts have occurred to me.

This weekend I was marvelling that LJ has also become a nexus of many of my ole JMU VAXBB pals and many folks from t.b. I'm glad it turned out that way.

More people looking.

I miss the days when I could tell someone that I'd met a friend over the Internet and the response was sure to be "What's the Internet?"

Paranoia....and the terrorists didn't win, Mr. Rumsfeld. Actually with Flight 93 and World Trade Center, it seems Hollywood won this round...again.
