add to the list of websites that don't like "+" in email addresses

lastminute.com, which handles it thusly: you can book your holiday and what not, but you can't access your order afterwards. The 'I've forgotten my password' form doesn't help as it converts the '+' to a space before telling you that you didn't enter an email address... and using %2b instead of '+' makes it look for that literally, rather than doing entity decoding to get the correct version. Sigh. What year is it again?

I've run into that more than once. I eventually gave up and started creating new aliases.

I hate this problem too, and have thus moved to creating lots of random e-mail aliases instead of using +. The worst example for me is eBay, which has pretty much forced me to create a new identity. My login name (old e-mail address) that has a + works for many things, but sellers do not like it because they cannot view your feedback, or do anything else related to your account. In order to actually buy something, I need to fix the URL's each time. So, the account is abandoned.

Ahwell.

On Friday his answer was something like "anywhere away".
