I have been hesitating for months over spending amount X on some geekery, while today within 25 minutes I spent about 66% of X on clothing without even blinking.

Maybe you know the clothing will last but the geekery mightn't?

Or maybe you were at risk of going naked or cold if the clothing wasn't bought?

I think mostly I was in column B, although it was more "naked, cold, and less stylish". It's the last part that worries me.

Back when I lived in college dorms it was something of a running joke... "How much does candice have more of, clothes or computers."

(And in the current state, it might actually be clothes, mostly because due to the advent of flatpanels, I have no crt monitors anymore.)

I liked the attitude I had when I came to the states first. You could justify $50 on a night out but $25 for Levis...you gotta be kidding!
