posting from Gaim isn't quite as cool in practice as it seemed like when I first realised it would be an obvious integration point.

once we make it chat-like (be able to say a bunch of stuff, then commit it all at once....), it'll be more fun.

Right, but it's more a case of anywhere I have an IM client, I have my emacs livejournal posty hack. It's sort of gratuituous abuse of technology as opposed to something I could see myself genuinely using. But hey, I'm all in favour of gratuituous abuse of technology!
