abuse of technology

I am currently giggling at my browser, wherein I have used Ajax and PHP to make a client-server streaming unix-time clock.

inquiring minds want to know...were you easily amused, or did it take more work than advertised?

I think mainly it's the sheer overkill involved that's making me giggle. It took a bit more work than you'd imagine, but mainly because I apparently have a bias against actually learning PHP, so every time I need to do something non-trivial I have to go read the manual.
