my representatives at work

Yesterday in the Dáil, an Taoiseach Mr. Ahern was challenged on the current dismal state of road traffic speed cameras; apparently a year after this issue first came to light, there are still only three functioning static speed cameras in the country, and it takes in the order of nine months to get a malfunctioning camera repaired. An Taoiseach replied that he would see about undertaking a Fás course in speed camera repair, but he hoped that the TD addressing him was not suggesting that this was his personal responsibility.

Note, there appears to be no shortage of mobile speed cameras.

*snort* If he took the course, he might learn some interesting techniques for sabotaging them. . .

Having been in the business....

of being a big brother, these static cameras should never be catching anyone. I mean you know where they are, the marks on the road and the warning sign are givaways. Are the people who get caught also going straight from the boozer to the pigsty to hand in their keys?
