Well, yes, they finally built it, and launched it at the end of July. There was an incident involving a car on the second day it was running (took someone's wing mirror off, I believe), there was a derailment two weekends back, and the above happened this past weekend. The service is being run by Connex, who are also responsible for much of the UK rail system, which may explain a lot. Still, it's been wildly successful despite the occasional stupidity.
