Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qurie has officially retracted his resignation today, ending a two week stand-off with President Yasser Arafat.

Transliterating Arabic into a language that writes its vowels and doesn't have such a range of back-of-the-throat sounds is hard. Or, at least, done inconsistently. Someone should put together a standard for it, so that no-one has to do stupid shit like searching for "quadafi OR ghaddafi OR khaddafi" again.
