One of my college friends - now somewhat distant, but still one of the DSPs - died last night. I am somewhat bothered by this, not least becuase he's the first of our peer group to "be no more".

I'm very sorry. It is terribly disturbing when something like this happens. I remember when I was told just a year or so ago about the death of a good friend from high school who I hadn't seen for some time. It bothered me a lot more than I thought it should. Give yourself all the time you need to grieve.
