Email from my brother's coworker's sister, who apparently lives "out wesht":

is there any coverage out there about Bush's visit?? Its unreal whats going on here, we've had flighter jets flying over the company and CIA guys in doing surveillance!! Everyone in Shannon has to have a permit to go to their own houses, nobody can go in our out of Shannon unless they have a permit or can show proof that they are going for a flight, even then it has to be verified! All the roads are closed around Drumoland and a 10mile radius from Friday midday till Saturday evening diversions to Galway have to come via the metropolis of Tulla!!

Its unreal for just a 16hour visit!
