A Wired article on SPF suggests that Bayesian filters work better for us developer types because we don't receive the wide diversity of email that "ordinary users" receive.

What are they talking about? I get mail from deposed Nigerian dictators, people interested in the size of my penis, stranded time travelers, and people who want to sell me breast-enlargement cream. How much more diverse can you get?

No, we have mailing lists full of losers -and- stupid relatives and friends who can't type just like everyone else.

Bayes filters rule, though.
