Apple's never been closed-lipped about its DRM strategy, even if they haven't been trying to flaunt it. It's been known since the iTunes rollout that anything you buy from them can be burned to an audio CD directly from the iTunes app - I don't remember if this was announced and demonstrated during the announcement but it's being used as a selling point on their website.

Once it's on an audio CD, there's no lingering copy protection.
