let's debug EVERYTHING!

If I'm reading this correctly, the cooperative bug isolation project[1] is essentially distributing Quantifty'd code to willing users and asking them to mail back the results. Could be good, if they can get their audience.

[1] "CBIP". It's obviously an all-geek, no-marketing effort.

Ages ago at the University of Toronto, when they were trying out a new development environment for the object oriented version of Turing they were still trying to teach programming with, it was instrumented to send a stack trace off to the maintainers whenever it crashed, and it wasn't long before someone realized that kill -SEGV would have the same effect, and hilarity ensued.
