Well, the Governator is in. No point in me making any criticisms of this, since, you know, it was a record turnout, and y'all obviously WANT the guy in the office.
i'm just trying to figure out who all these people who voted for him are, because i literally have not spoken to ONE PERSON in the last month who was in favor of the recall, or for Arnold as governor. last night the anti-Arnold chatter at the polling place was hilarious to hear, and this morning when i went to the bank and picked up coffee, everyone was greeting each other with sympathetic smiles and talking about how awful it is. the guy in the coffee place just kept muttering, "it's a disaster. it's a complete disaster."
a co-worker pointed out that while they're showing gender and party demographics of who voted, they're not showing age demographics. i'm willing to bet that the vast majority of the people who voted for Arnold are under 25.
anyway, give us a break, will you? most of us are cringing in shame right now. and the ones who aren't will be soon enough.
Well, from what I've seen the reason you've not spoken to one person who voted for him is that the bulk of people who voted for him appear to be outside the bay area. There was also some suggestion that people voted No on Recall but then didn't put down anyone to replace Davis, so once Yes on Recall passed they had no further input to the process. Whoopsy.
So, how's that plan to move back east shaping up? :D
