Missing from the bottom of that article: This article constitutes an incredible conflict of interest, as Kevin Poulson and Lamo know each other.

I miss the days of honesty in journalism.

Well, I guess he could get full-time employment doing dishes, street-cleaning, or window-washing. Even waiting tables or pulling coffee can involve using computers. I guess a lot of it may come down to a question of how complex the machine has to be before it's a "computer," but even the most ordinary little pubs around here have a touch-screen communication device between the kitchen and the dining room.

I'm not sure how he could enroll in college and avoid using computers. I mean, sure, he can use a typewriter for his papers; but it seems to me that a very large percentage of colleges manage enrollment and other tasks by requiring the students to log in somewhere and sign up electronically.

Well, I was actually more surprised at the fact that he was told to get a job, rather than trying to figure out what he can do that doesn't involve computers.
