I read somewhere that my creaky old digicam has a built-in 4MB CF card. I wonder if it'd be worth my while cracking it open to see if the card can be upgraded and perhaps a proper CF interface grafted on while I'm at it. It'd certainly beat waiting for images to download over a 115,200 baud serial link.

Worth trying if you can do it without breaking the light chamber. On the other hand, don't be too ambitious if transplanting a new card - chances are good it can't address more than some relatively small space anyway. So what make/model is it?

Sanyo VPC-G200E. Amusingly, it's based on some class of Sparc chip.
