It's like that Simpsons episode where the two kids are talking about a show, and one says it's great, and the other asks if he's being ironic, and the first guy admits that he 'doesn't even know any more.'

that's a quote, by the way. it's exactly what I wanted to say, and I found it while looking for a link to the exact Simpsons episode (It's the homerpalooza one.)
