Peer-to-peer transmission of random bits of files. Client has the option of sending you more or less data based on whether you're sending them random bits of the file. In other words, you get bits of the file, you send those bits on to other people. The recipients are happy and they send you bits of the file in return.

Eventually you have all the bits, and if you're a good netizen you keep bittorrent up to send some of the bits back to other people who need them.

I got the source ISOs in a couple hours today. And I'm not a RHN member.
