four score and seven seconds ago...

I've just read the full text of the Gettysburg Address (or what's reported as the Gettysburg Address) for the first time. I've know the opening words for years - no idea why, but what caught my eye just now was this phrase:

"The world will little note nor long remember what we say here..."

How wrong you were, Abe. Well, about the second part, anyway.

Government of the people my ass.
