I wrote this in an email to someone a few years back. Alas, they didn't take heed.
"What I consider friendship when I think about the shit we've done is simply someone I can sit down and ratchet my mouth off with. I don't expect understanding, group hugs, warm fuzzies or any of that happy crappy. That comes with close friendship. If I can geek with someone, they're a friend."
