Worryingly (for me), I'm reminded of the Muppet Show sketches featuring the Amazing Marvin Suggs and his Muppaphone (which consisted of Marvin hitting small creatures with mallets, so each would cry "Ouch!" with a particular note, in order to create a tune). Once, the 'performance' was preceded by an interview, the closing stages of which were something like this:
Kermit (to Muppaphone members): Does it hurt? Members: Errrr... is Marvin still here? Marvin: Yes, my darlings, I'm here! Members: No no no no, it doesn't hurt at all!
