Happy St. Patrick's Day. Go have a beer.

Beer?

I usually try and have some snake soup on Paddy's day. It seems more appropriate somehow.

Ta, I will! And per your previous post, I shall make every attempt not to annoy any real Irish people while I do it.

On a side note, whose idea was it to hold St. Patty's during Lent, anyway?

I did, as well as some delicious pork tacos, which had salsa verde AND cilantro, yummy green stuff.

I did! (Well, it was to celebrate turning in my last paper, but it was Guinness.)

I'd try it, except some tosser's chased all the snakes out of the country.

Amusing that you can cite the post and then contravene (for lack of a better word) the first direction therein. Hope the beer was good.

I watched our Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, giving a load of shamrock to Dubya in the hope that Dubya'd try and eat some.

We'll make no comment on the head of state being out of the country for the national holiday, since it's apparently some sort of tradition for him to visit the colonies on said day.
